Factoria
A MIXED USE NEIGHBORHOOD IN SOUTH BELLEVUE
Factoria is one of the city’s significant commercial districts. Originally timberland from the 1890’s to 1920’s, the area later became an industrial center. Factoria has since the 1960s evolved into commercial and residential development. Factoria serves as a commercial center for surrounding residential neighborhoods, such as Eastgate, Somerset, Newport, Newcastle, and Woodridge.
The area has recently experienced a boon with more offices claiming office spaces. This is due to its key location at the crossroads of I-90 &I-405. Public transportation in Factoria is also one of the neighborhoods strengths. Buses service the area frequently and a local park and ride is just up the road. The Factoria Mall is Bellevue’s other mall and is home to a variety of shops including Target, Walmart, Safeway. Also nearby QFC grocery and a movie theatre can be found here.
