Covington & East Kent
ONE OF THE STATE’S FASTEST GROWING COMMUNITIES
The area presently known as Covington was originally known as Jenkins Prairie. The city has experienced rapid development since its incorporation in 1997. Sandwiched in between Kent & Maple Valley, Covington is located just off Highway 18 and at the crossroads of State Route 516 (Kent-Kangley Road). The city is split into two with the east portion holding much of the Greater Maple Valley area’s primary retail. Costco, Fred Meyer, and several other shopping centers are located here.
Covington has many parks with resident enjoying the Soos Creek trail. Nearby Druids Glen Golf course is one of the states top golf courses. Other popular neighborhoods within the area are Remington & Winterwood Estates. Remington is known for its large lots under a tree canopy bordering Druids Glen, while Winterwood Estates are more open sky with trails for horseback riding & stalls to keep a horse.
